Lawn Care Tips
*Keep the lawn free of trash and debris such as limbs and leaves. Leaves block out the sunlight the grass needs to grow.
*Mow the yard at 3.5 inches or taller. This will naturally keep some of the weeds out and keep moisture in the lawn. A lawn that has been cut too short or scalped will have a stunted root system, will not grow properly, and will have a tendency to have a bigger weed problem.
*Your lawn needs 1.5 inches of water every week and even more in the summer. Do not water all at once, try to water deep and infrequent to promote root growth. Shortened watering times on a frequent basis is not recommended.
*Stay away from watering in the evening or night. This will promote fungus growth in the yard and kill the grass. Water in the morning hours and try to have the irrigation system complete its cycle by 8-9am.
*Mow your lawn at least once a week if it is actively growing, cutting no more than 1/3 of the grass.
